I'm doing a paint job on a old 74 rag top v/w. it is a real nice gold color, but can't seem to find the paint code anywhere on the car. does anyone happen to know where the code might be???

Should be on a tag in the trunk.
Probably L10A, L11E, L98C, or L62H.

Thanks a lot, glad you sent me the color code for the 74 vw. the owner has not had the car long and he wants it the same color. I looked all over the car for a tag, but could not find one. it is in great shape to be a 74, just had one small dent and about 10 door dings. it has always been stored inside for sure and the bottom and under fenders are clean as a new car. took all the chrome and the webbing between fenders and body off it so it will be a better paint job. none of the bolts were even rusted on.
