1938 DeSoto
Everett Gross

I went to the Cars and Parts swap meet in Springfield, Ohio in September, 2001. Made a deal with a guy on a 1938 DeSoto and he dropped it off for me on his way home back to Michigan. The day has finally arrived!

I have always wanted to street rod an old car since I was 14. The wife's comment when she found out: "I always figured you'd drag something home someday!" The good thing is I'm still alive and well. Anyway, I was looking for a 30's model Chevy, but since I got a better deal on this than I could a Chevy, I'll compromise and put Chevy running gear in it. The starting price for the DeSoto was $1,500. I got it for $700. Now how could I pass it up?
