SEATS i ment to say!!! the wiring harness under the passenger seat is completely different, hell the whole seat frame underneath looks different although they bolted right in.

for some reason the drivers seat's connectors were almost the same: a big white plug in was a perfect match physically but i dont know about electically. there is a second plug that goes to the seat belt that has two wires in it that was different, i had to cut and splice the two wires to that.

both years have a yellow wire but one year had a orange and the other a blue. so i spliced the yellows together. and the orange to the blue. now my airbag OFF idiot light wont go off, which means it's disarmed and owners manual says take to dealer immediately.

i am wondering if that truly means the airbags are off and if so, if i change the way the wires are hooked up, will that change things. i have to pull the seat out to do this is why i ask. i have no wiring diagrams of any kind.

A friend was swapping seats in his Chevy Silverado to get better seats. The 2 seats had different harnesses. One had a pad under the foam with a pressure sensor in it, and the seatbelt latch had different wire colors. I elected to use the original harnesses, and installed the pressure switch and the original latch mechanism so that I wasn't mismatching sensors. Everything worked out fine. The dealership wouldn't touch the job.

been ten days since my wrecker was open so i asked about returning the 03 pass seat and they said yes.

i put back in my 007 seat and having made zero modifications/cuts/splices anything, plugged all the jacks back in that came out, with or without the seat belts on the empty pass seat being hooked up, my AIR BAG IDIOT LIGHT WILL STILL NOT GO OUT! is this something i will have to take to the dealer to reset? i already unhooked my batt for three minutes or so and nothing.
